Catch the bus to Kalambaka in the morning from the Athens Larissis station and enjoy a trip that will give you the chance to admire the beauty of the Peloponnesian countryside. Arrive in Kalambaka, a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks, and crowded by the Meteora Monasteries.

Meteora is included on the UNESCO world heritage monument list. Visit two main monasteries of Meteora and delve yourself into the natural beauty and the cultural heritage of this area. This guided tour will take you back in the dark ages and the story of the first hermits and monks who laid the foundations of what later on became the monastic community of Meteora.

After the end of the tour, enjoy comfortable transfers back to Kalambaka, where you may choose to partake in lunch (own expense). By evening the bus departs from Kalambaka, and arrives back to Athens.

Appropriate clothing is required. Ladies should not wear short skirts and must have long sleeves. Men are not allowed to wear shorts.

Few days before the activity, you will receive an e-mail with the e-tickets. Reservations are accepted 48 hours prior to the tour.

Boarding procedure: No bus ticket is required. Just give your name to the driver for verification. Seats are not assigned, so you are free to choose your seat.

The journey takes approximately 5 hours (with a 20 min refreshment stop). You will spend 5 hours in destination visiting Meteora and then return to Athens (arrival at approximately 11:00pm).
