5 Days England, Wales & Yorkshire Guided Tour with Accommodation

Our tour begins with us trailing The Bard’s life at Stratford Upon Avon, the home of the legendary William Shakespeare. This quaint market town is not just a treasure trove of literary history but also hosts an array of sumptuous restaurants and riverside pub, making it the perfect spot for us to enjoy a delectable lunch and of course, explore the various landmarks of Shakespeare’s life from his school to his home.

The Iron Bridge, the world’s first bridge to made of cast iron and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is up next. Opened in 1781, it is a standing testament to the Industrial Revolution and how it contributed to the development of a modernised society, besides offering some incredible views of River Severn.

We will finally arrive at the birthplace of Sir Charles Darwin, Shrewsbury, whose winding streets around the town centre are almost neatly surrounded by River Severn. A historic town known to have witnessed multiple conflicts between the English and the Welsh, and is dotted with rows of timber-framed black and white Tudor style house - a charming little place where we will set our base for next two nights.

Taking us to the heart of northern Wales, our first stop would be the ancient town of Conwy. Standing tall since hundreds of years, this walled town is home to the medieval fortification, Conwy Castle, built by Edward I somewhere around the late 13th century which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and leaves you a little stunned with its towering presence. Besides its tumultuous history, you can also savour some brilliant views of verdant Welsh landscape from the battlements.

The breathtaking expanse of the Snowdonia National Park awaits us next. Driving through this visually stimulating region is filled with lofty mountains, picturesque valleys and quaint slate quarries. Our journey takes us on a memorable excursion around the mighty Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales, and across the gorgeous Pass of Llanberis and is sure to leave you a little breathless with its unspoilt beauty.

Having sunk into the wonders of Nature, we will head back to Conwy while regaling in captivatings stories of Welsh struggles, tales of their fight for independence and the heroism of the rebellious Owain  Glyndwr.

Leaving Conwy behind, the third day begins with us treating our eyes to some of the most stunning landscapes of Wales as we drive through Peak District National Park. Fraught with rugged moorlands, cute little walled pastures, woody forests and scenic villages, it’s a tryst with Wale’s stupendous beauty. We will stop first at elegant spa town of Buxton, known for its natural thermal springs.

The marvellous Chatsworth House and Gardens, seat of the Duke of Devonshire and home to the Cavendish family, is up next. It’s one of the country’s favourite country houses, thanks to its sprawling estate filled with insane antique furnitures, Old Master paintings, neoclassical sculptures and ton of historic items that is sure to delight you.

Post a lovely drive across the industrial heartlands of England back in the days, we arrive at the momentous city of York which will be our next base of accommodation for the coming two nights.

The City of York is a haven of ancient history with its inception dating back to AD 71, the time of the Romans. The city presents a myriad of sensations and experiences for every traveller, harbouring a heady brew of Norman, Viking and of course, Roman history, from stellar architecture to impressive castles and fortifications.

You can either choose to indulge in this massive dose of the past or head out with our guide to market town of Knaresborough. Travelling across the vibrant scenery of the Yorkshire Dales, we can sink into the charms of the famed Yorkshire hospitality and then move on to feast your eyes on some of the more remote areas of the Dales, visiting some places which are sure to leave an indelible impression.

No matter what your choice is, trust us when we say that you will enjoy a magical day out and will be back in time to treat your senses to the charisma of York City in the evening.

Our journey back to London begins on our final day but we arrive only after exploring two stellar locations. Our first excursion takes us to Lincoln, known for its charming historic district and tasty Lincolnshire sausages, be sure to visit the cathedral, which held the title of the world's tallest building for about 200 years.

Having taken a stroll through history, we move on an atmosphere of academic brilliance at the city of Cambridge. With the iconic King’s College Chapel commanding the heart of the city, Cambridge has been known for hundreds of years of erudite excellence. An invaluable punting ride around the city reveals its spellbinding presence and the distinctive ‘backs’ of the colleges while the bell tower of the Church of St Mary the Great offers wondrous skyline views of the entire city.

We arrive back in London having relished a unforgettable tour over five whole days.
