Overview

Between testy rugby matches, Beyonce and Jay Z’s duets, France’s World Cup win in 1998 and a legendary Rolling Stones concert, the Stade de France has seen its fair share of excitement. Relive the most iconic stadium moments on this behind-the-scenes guided tour, hosted by Cultival Tours. Tracing the Stade de France through its initial design and opening to the World Cup, concert performances and many moments of sporting glory, this tour gives unexpected insight into French culture through the jolly lens of sports and entertainment. You’ll see breathtaking sights from the stands, feel the charged atmosphere of an 80,000+ stadium and poke around the site’s private areas, where famous faces take stock before their big arena moments. Bring your camera, team.

About your guide

Culture experienced differently: this is Cultival Tours’ thing, and boy do they do it well. Over the past 14 years, Cultival guides have got behind-the-scenes tours down to a fine art, telling the stories you don’t hear about Paris’ iconic sites.

Here’s the plan…

You don’t have to be a professional athlete to run around the Stade De France these days. This tour starts with a visit to the stands to take in the view. Beautifully designed and with a seating capacity of more than 80,000, you’re sure to snap a nice panorama or two at France’s largest stadium.

Then it’s onto the locker room, where the world’s most famous athletes often prepare for their games. Experience the ultimate sporting moment on your walk (okay, run) through the tunnel to the arena, like so many legends have done before you. Along the way your local guide will fill you in on the stadium’s history, its unique architecture (Stade de France is the biggest modular stadium in the world) and the stories of the people who frequent the pitch, both athletes and performers.

Your guide leads you to Stade de France’s museum, where you’ll say goodbye and explore the exhibition solo. Here, you’ll see intriguing archives and memorabilia gathered through the years. When you’re good and ready, head for the exit. We’ll see you next time.

Please note

No need to print! You can show your voucher on your smartphone or other devices.

The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details. They’re a nice bunch, and will happily answer any logistical questions you may have. Please give them a call at least 24 hours before your organized activity to reconfirm.

Try your best to get to the meeting point (Gate H, inside the Stade de France) 15 minutes prior to your tour’s start time.

Please note that this tour will be available on selected Sundays.

Remember, this is a working stadium (France’s largest in fact). Because of this, big events may cause the tour to be changed from time to time.

For security reasons, your bag will be searched before you enter the stadium. Please allow plenty of time (we suggest arriving 30 minutes before the scheduled start time) for this, so you don’t hold up the tour, or at worst, miss it entirely!

The rates and other information indicated here may change at any given time according to the access conditions of the sites and their rate policy.
