Even if you don't use this for discounts, the value of the 3 day Welcome Card is fantastic even if you only use it on public transport. We travelled from the SXF airport to Berlin city centre, approx. 35 mins journey, and returned. We also went to Potsdam and back, again approx. 35 mins each way, and did a total of 16 other journeys in the Potsdam and Berlin city areas. The card can be used on buses, trains, trams, and underground, so all are covered. The discounts we received from visiting one museum, a river boat tour and the Sanssouci Palace at Potsdam totalled approx. 9Euros each, so the cost of the card was reduced to about £14 per person for all the transport (a taxi from the airport and back would have cost us about 80 Euros so we were quids in to start with!) Would certainly use it again and would recommend it to anyone thinking of travelling to Berlin, where the public transport network is brilliant.

Was not too clear were to pick the bus up but driver was good despite having to contend with a Royal visit and a lot of diversions
