Resumen

A Colosseum tour is a must-do in Rome. This popular tour combines an in-depth Colosseum tour with the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill; collectively the most significant sites of Ancient Rome.

Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide visit the Colosseum; Rome’s most recognizable landmark. Hear stories about the bloody past of the amphitheatre, tales of gladiators, mock sea battles and executions. Your tour group will benefit from skip-the-line access to the Colosseum.

You will climb to the top of the Palatine Hill, the most famous of the seven hills of Rome. From here you can admire views of the Roman Forum and Nero’s Circus Maximus where chariot races were once held. Romulus and Remus were said to have been found on the Palatine by the she-wolf who nursed and raised them. Legend has it that Romulus went on to found Rome.

Stroll along the Sacred Way, the main path through the Roman Forum which ends at the Temple where Julius Caesar was cremated. Visitors from around the world still leave flowers and light candles at this site today.

Only small backpacks and regular-size handbags are allowed inside. Guests with larger bags will not be allowed to enter (there are no storage facilities) and all guests must now pass through a security check before entering the Colosseum.

The Colosseum has changed its admission policy to ensure that only 3,000 people are allowed within the amphitheater at any given time, meaning much less crowding during busy periods. Although our tickets are pre-booked, this may mean a slight delay on entering if capacity has already been reached.

The tour meeting time is 15 minutes prior to the start time. No refunds or re-bookings can be provided for late arrivals or no shows after the tour starts.

During the low season we visit the Colosseum (inside), Roman Forum and Capitoline Hill. During the high season we visit the Colosseum (inside), Roman Forum (inside) and Palatine Hill (inside). In low season the visit of Roman Forum is not guaranteed due to the early closure of sites.
