A visit to Venice is not complete unless you take a gondola ride down the world-famous Grand Canal.
A classic gondola ride is a perfect way to appreciate the beauty, charm and colour of this unique city built on water. While you are at the Canal Grande (Grand Canal) look up at the glorious palazzos above you. Built by wealthy merchants and powerful families these beautiful buildings are in a range of mellow colours and styles from Byzantine to Baroque.

Really enjoyed this. Up to 6 people i a gondola. We paid £49.25 for both of us. In Venice they wanted 80-100 EUR per person which is 160-200 EUR overall for the same gondola...
I am giving full marks on them as i arrived 20 minutes late and missed the ride. However, they were nice enough to arrange one gondola ride for our family of 5 in 5minutes....
We managed to find the meeting point with no problems and waited for the representative and she was early so made it even easier. There were two other couples and we were able to board straight away. We didn’t get a song but we did get some information along the way which was mainly through the smaller canals which was nice and a bit peaceful really. Yes it was about 25 minutes but still good value for money and it was great to experience it. Great way to spend my birthday! Definitely recommend this tour.
